This is just a start. This page will grow quickly with information on understanding and designing airfoils, wings, physics and other stuff for use in X-Plane.
- Airfoil - This is the term used when designating an airplane wing's cross section (when looking at the wing from the side).
- Mean (Camber) Line - The line that is equidistant from both the upper and lower layers.
- Maximum Camber - The greatest distance between the mean camber line and the cord line expressed in % cord length.
- Leading edge radius -
- Yaw -
- Pitch -
- Attitude -
- Stagnation Point - this the place where the air flow separates over and under the airfoil.
1 Nautical mile (Nmi) = 6080feet
1Knot = 1 Nmi/hour = 101.3 feet/minute = 1.69 feet/second
