Second Dove Hunt

I slept better before this hunt. Again 4:00am came around early followed by fresh coffee and day-old donuts. Scott and I picked up our dad at his house at 5:00am. We met Butch and his son-in-law Oscar at a nearby Perko's. Butch took us out to a field that was ready for hunting. Dad wasn't shooting with us but he came along to watch his sons.

First Dove Hunt

I woke up at 4:00am after a terrible night of sleep. I was like a kid before Christmas all night. In the morning Scott and I grabbed a cup of coffee and headed over to the donut shop to get a dozen. We drove out to the vineyards to an 18 acre plot of land that he preped for Dove season. Half of the 18 acres was planted and the other half was tilled under. At 5:35am my brother's friend from work, Brian (BJ), joined us. We had coffee and donuts while waiting for sunrise.
