Saint Pauls Cathedral is the picture with the gold cross at the top and the picture hanging in front of the building while it is being cleaned.
St Pauls Cathedral has been around since Londons earliest days. The first cathedral was founded here in the seventh century, and over the years it was destroyed and rebuilt several times. The current building is the fifth church on this site - after the Great Fire of London in 1666 it was redesigned by renowned architect Sir Christopher Wren and completed in 1711.
The Great Fire raged for days and destroyed over three quarters of the city, and the reconstruction of London which followed heralded a building boom that was to last 100 years.
