One year Anniversary

Today is my one year anniversary for my first clival chondrosarcoma surgery. It has been one year since a golf ball size tumor was removed from my brain through my nose. I keep fighting everyday!
My heroes are my family and friends who had to wait through the surgery. They had the hardest part and I recognize their strength and patience--they waited 10 hours. When they finally wheeled me out, the anesthesiologist said, "Mr. Quashnick, here is your loved ones: your mom, your mother-in-law, your wife..." I said, "Hey doc, where is my mistress?" I had not lost my sense of humor, plus it let my wife know that I was OK.
