Guerrilla Jiu-Jitsu

Well, it has been a very long time since I have done this type of workout. There are a couple of Judo houses nearby, but I am afraid of being thrown now with my balance problems. Since jiu jitsu is almost all on the ground, vertical balance is not as much of a problem for me.

Today I did my first workout with an instructor and two classmates (Freddie and Stephen).

After a quick warmup of jogging, insides, outsides, cross-overs, and "ups", we were working on ground work and moving from being on the bottom, guard position, to moving over the opponent using Hip Bump from Closed Guard. This included a nice shoulder lock submission, called a Kimura.
